Job Description: We are seeking a Construction Accounting Specialist to manage the accounting processes of our company's construction projects and ensure the accuracy of financial records. This position will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including cost calculations, invoicing, budgeting, and tax processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Recording and monitoring costs and expenditures related to construction projects
Organizing and verifying daily accounting records
Controlling and reconciling subcontractor, supplier, and vendor accounts
Tracking VAT, withholding tax, social security contributions, and other legal obligations, and preparing related declarations
Managing progress payment, entitlement, and invoicing processes
Preparing financial reports and presenting them to management
Recording bank transactions and monitoring cash flow
Providing support during tax audits and external/internal audit processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field
5–10 years of experience in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of Uniform Chart of Accounts, Tax Procedure Law, social security legislation, and other accounting regulations
Proficient in ERP systems, Logo, or similar accounting software
Advanced proficiency in MS Office programs, particularly Excel
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with a team-oriented mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA / SMMM) license
Expertise in Uniform Chart of Accounts and construction accounting
Experience in progress payment processes and contract-based (commitment) accounting
